Next meeting, Fri., Dec. 19 at Krays

Advent is the best occasion we have all year to meditate on just the Incarnation of the Son of God. The Scriptures even say, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (Jn 3:16). I encourage all our young Areopagites to take this verse to prayer, especially before the tabernacle.

Our questions from last time were these:

1. If God’s will always happens anyways, why bother with prayer? It’s not like we can change God’s will.
2.If a priest is in mortal sin but is obligated to celebrate mass and therefore receive communion, does he commit a sin by receiving communion in sin?
3. Is it okay to give somebody a scapular, even if they do not believe in Our Lady of the Scapular, and do not believe it will save them from hell?
4. John 11:35-- And Jesus wept. Since He wept, isn't it a noble thing for a man to weep?
5. Where do unbaptized babies go when they pass away?
6. I got confirmed by a Monsignor. Do I get all the graces that I would have gotten from a bishop?
7. Does the Tridentine Mass give more graces than the Novus Ordo?
8. What is matter and force (form)? – cf. Aristotle

For this last question I have chosen this picture,Rembrandt (Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn), Aristotle with a Bust of Homer, 1653, Oil on canvas, in the
Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

I speak a word of gratitude on behalf of all the Areopagites to the families who so warmly welcome us to their homes. Having these discussions in Catholic homes, where angels dwell, is an inestimable boon. The upcoming lineup of hosting homes, as of now, is like so:
December: Krays
January: Betts
February: Pilarskis
March: Wrenns

To get to the Krays this month, you can always contact Hilary, of course, or simply here is the data for your convenience: Krays: (810) 796-4049; Their address is: 4572 Merrick Dr., Dryden, MI, 48428. (Click here for a Google Map)

Let us remember to each pray for everybody else all through Advent.
